FAIRBURY, Neb. — Two people were arrested Wednesday night after deputies located a man with an active warrant hiding inside a Fairbury residence, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Nicholas Georgi said deputies responded around 6:30 p.m. Dec. 18 to a home in the 1000 block of J Street to arrest 53-year-old Bradley Durflinger, who was wanted on a Jefferson County warrant for failure to appear.
Deputies were allowed into the residence by the homeowner and found Durflinger hiding inside the home. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jefferson County Jail.
A second individual, 46-year-old Lindsay Pingel, was also arrested at the residence. Authorities say Pingel assisted in hiding Durflinger and provided law enforcement with false information about his whereabouts. She was transported to the Jefferson County Jail and booked on charges of harboring a fugitive and obstructing a peace officer.
In a separate incident, Sheriff Georgi confirmed an additional arrest occurred Wednesday night involving Diego Sanchez Amado on allegations of fraud and impersonation. That arrest was made by the Nebraska State Patrol, and no further details were immediately available.
The cases remain under investigation.
