Beatrice Community Hospital Foundation Centurian Partners announce grants

BEATRICE – Mini-grants totaling $5,960 have been awarded by the Beatrice Community Hospital Foundation, to projects that enhance patient care and comfort and operational efficiency at the local hospital.
The funding comes through the Centurian Forever Endowment Fund, established in 2016 as a means of providing healthcare support for future generations.
BCH Foundation Executive Director Shelby Watson says citizen generosity helps fuel innovation and shapes the local healthcare system experience. President of the BCH Foundation, Dr. Dale Kruse says the grants help address practical healthcare needs, enriching patient experiences and the staff environment.
The Labor and Delivery department received $700 to provide an upgraded Childbirth Guide, offering new parents accessible prenatal education. The Radiology department was granted $2,000 in funding for a blanket warmer, aimed at improving patient comfort during diagnostic imaging services. The Behavioral Health department also received $2,000 in funding to launch a Mind-Body Wellness & Weight Management Initiative, a holistic program promoting both mental and physical wellness.
Surgical Services was awarded $835 to install staff lockers, enhancing workspace organization and efficiency….and Occupational Therapy received $425 in funding to expand its hand therapy workstation and equipment, supporting both patient rehabilitation and staff functionality.
Applications for the Annual Healthcare Grant Awards will open June 1st and will be accepted through July 31st. Both BCH departments and local health-related nonprofit organizations are encouraged to apply.
