Beatrice Public Schools announces administrative changes

BEATRICE – Beatrice Public Schools will be swapping administrators between buildings.
Superintendent Jason Alexander and the district released a statement today saying that effective next school year, Phillip Voigt will transition to the role of Principal at Beatrice Elementary School, while James Ford will move from the elementary school to become Principal at Beatrice High School.
Alexander said the move is being made to reflect the district’s commitment to continuous improvement and “ensuring that every building has the strongest possible leadership team in place.”
Alexander said both administrators bring valuable skills and experience to their new roles. Beatrice School Board President Eric Trusty said it is a positive step as the district continues to refine its leadership structure.
Monday night, the school board held an executive session at the end of their committee-level meeting, with both Voigt and Ford meeting with the board, the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent.
Voigt became high school principal following the retirement of Jason Sutter, while Ford came to the district from Cozad Public Schools, sharing principal duties at the new Beatrice Elementary School during his first year at BPS.
Alexander says Voigt has been a dedicated leader at BHS, fostering a culture of student success and engagement….while Ford played a key role in shaping a positive and structured learning environment for elementary students.
