SEWARD COUNTY, Neb. -- A 46-year-old man was killed Saturday night when his ATV rolled on a rural road south of Beaver Crossing.

The initial investigation found Corey Smith, of Fairbury, was on the ATV when it left the roadway and went up an embankment.

Smith was pinned underneath the ATV, according to the Seward County Sheriff's Office.

Smith was brought by ambulance to Friend Community Hospital, before being transported to Bryan West in Lincoln where he was later pronounced dead.

The Sheriff's Office believes alcohol was a factor but the investigation continues.
