Truck driver killed in collision south of Greenleaf, Kansas
State law officers say southbound truck went through a stop sign, before collision

BEATRICE – Authorities say one person was killed in two-vehicle collision Friday, in Washington County, Kansas.
Kansas Highway Patrol officers identified the victim as 23-year-old Hunter Wohlbrandt, of Wakefield, Kansas. Authorities said he was the driver of a 1986 GMC truck that was southbound on Kansas Highway 119, that failed to stop at a stop sign.
The truck entered the intersection of K-119 and Kansas Highway 9...where it was struck by a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by a 15-year-old Waterville, Kansas female. That driver and a 47-year-old male passenger, also of Waterville…were taken to Washington County, Kansas hospital with minor injuries.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said Wohlbrandt was taken to Bryan Medical Center West in Lincoln, Nebraska…where he died. The KHP determined he had not been using a safety restraint during the collision. The occupants of the Tahoe were wearing seatbelts.
The accident happened at around 4:35 p.m., one mile south of Greenleaf, Kansas.
