After 132 years, Union College is changing its name

A century-old college in the capital city is changing its name.

LINCOLN, Neb. -- A century-old college in the capital city is changing its name.

The Board of Trustees at Union College in Lincoln voted on Monday to change the school's name to Union Adventist University.

Board officials said the change reflects their move to broaden their graduate offerings.

The change is effective immediately.

Union has been in Lincoln for 132 years.
