BEATRICE – A southeast Nebraska collision caused no significant injuries, late Monday afternoon.

A four-door sedan and a small sport utility vehicle collided in the central part of Beatrice.   An investigating officer says a gold Chevrolet Impala was southbound on 13th and stopped at a stop sign.  The SUV was westbound on Ella.  The driver of the car told police he didn't see the SUV before proceeding into the intersection.

Police and Beatrice Fire and Rescue personnel were sent to 13th and Ella Streets, at 4:44 p.m.

A fire department spokesman says the male driver of the car involved was shaken up but refused treatment.  He did not require transport to the hospital.  A female driver in the S-U-V was not injured.   The accident blocked the intersection for about a half-hour.
