Lorraine Eileen Beil

Lorraine Eileen Beil, 73, of Beatrice, died Wednesday night, November 26, 2025, at her sister’s home in Lincoln after a long battle with cancer. She was born on September 26, 1952 at Fort Lee, Virginia, the ?rst child of Forest Greeley and LaVonne Jean (Luhring) Beil.  Lorraine was raised with her four siblings on a farm along the Missouri River, south of Plattsmouth and graduated with the Plattsmouth High School Class of 1970. Following high school she studied at Tarkio College, earning a BS in Art Drama/Education and used her artistic skills in set production at the Mule Barn Theatre in Tarkio, Missouri. Lorraine used her creative spirit all of her life, knitting, crocheting, and sewing. She was also an award winner with her skills in photographic negative retouching. Later she earned an associate’s degree in paralegal studies which she used for much of her professional career working for Child Protective Services, the Gage County Attorney’s Office, and for Bentjen Elderlaw and Legal Services of Beatrice.  Lorraine was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Beatrice.

Survivors include her siblings, Kim (JoEllen) Beil, Roddy (Jim) Spangler, and Dell (Lora) Beil; several nieces and nephews; many friends, all who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Forest and LaVonne Beil; sister, Kellie Beil-Kautz; brother-in-law, James Kautz.

Following her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time. Inurnment of the cremains will be at the Lewiston Cemetery in Cass County, Nebraska, at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Soroptimist Club of Lincoln and mailed to Mary Anne Prinkkila-Rogers, 2222 N 87th St, Lincoln, NE 68505.   www.foxfuneralhome.net   Fox Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Beatrice is in charge of the arrangements.
