It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Clayton Leonard Scott on November 24, 2025, just two days shy of his 94th birthday. Clay was born on November 26, 1931, in Bennet, NE. Clay married Carol Baker on June 3, 1962 in Wymore. He achieved a BA from Kearney State College and was a record setting long distance runner while in college. Clay was a beacon of love, humility, dedication, and reliability. He lived an extraordinary life marked by devotion towards his family, church, and his love of sports, especially Husker football.
Clay was a dedicated employee at Store Kraft Manufacturing until his retirement, proving his reliability and commitment time and again. Even after retirement, Clay remained an active and valuable member of his community, often volunteering at local events and church activities. Clay led by example and inspired those around him with his humble nature and loving heart.
Clay was preceded in death by his beloved wife Carol just one year ago, and his parents Que and Florence (Jensen) Scott. He is survived by his children, Kelle (Bob Munchrath) and Jeff (Bonnie) Scott; granddaughter Taylor (Jon) Hintsala; and great granddaughter Carlee Hintsala. His love for his family was boundless, and his absence will leave a void that can never be filled. He will always be remembered as a loving father and a humble man who dedicated his life to the service of others.
