We celebrate the life of Gregory Lee "Greg" Jack, born on November 14, 1971, in Eugene, OR, who passed away on November 13, 2025, 1 day shy of his 54th birthday. Greg, a man of indomitable spirit and unyielding kindness, spent his early years in Oregon before making his home in Nebraska over 14 years ago. A proud Oregonian at heart, his love for the outdoors was evident in his fondness for shooting, reloading, collecting guns, fly fishing, hunting, and bird watching. As an avid dog lover, his home was never without the joyful presence of a beloved pet. Greg's love for his family was the true essence of his life, and he was particularly excited about becoming a grandfather to Samuel "Sammy" John Lee White.
Gregory was a pillar of strength and service in his community. He dedicated his career to teaching others as a Fire Protection Tech Instructor after retiring as Captain of the Lane Rural Fire Department in Eugene, OR. His dedication echoed the words of Albert Einstein, who once said, "Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile." Gregory is survived by his loving wife, Marilou; his daughters Caitlyn Jack of Denver and Cara (Patrick) White of Lincoln; grandson on the way, Samuel; his mother Vicki Jack of Helena, MT; his twin sister Rebecca Jack of Helena, MT; beloved dog, Kingsley; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Jack; and dog, Keo.

We invite you to share your memories of Gregory, upload photos, and celebrate his life on his memorial page at www.ghchapel.com. His life was a testament to the power of love, community, and service, and his memory will continue to inspire all who knew him. "To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die," as Thomas Campbell once wrote, and so Gregory's spirit lives on in the hearts of those he loved and served.
These services have been entrusted to the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home in Wymore.
