Elnadean R. Singleton, 91, of Liberty, died Wednesday morning, November 12, 2025, at Whispering Winds Cottage in Beatrice. She was born on February 4, 1934, in Waterville, KS to Perry and Regina (Boeschling) Lohse.  Elnadean graduated from Marysville High School in 1952.  On April 29, 1953, she married Glen G. Singleton in Hanover.  She was Glen’s helpmate on the farm for many decades, and they also ran a dairy business for 40 years.  They were blessed with seven children. Elnadean was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice.  She enjoyed dancing, sewing, gardening, and playing cards.    

Survivors include her husband, Glen “Jerry” Singleton of Liberty; children, Jodie (Tim) Alvis of Stromsburg, Janice (Dave) Sargent of Beatrice, Mary Kay Ellsworth of Columbus, Jan Singleton of Omaha, Diane (Jesse) Reyes, and Jeris (Rodney) Oliverius all of Lincoln; daughter-in-law, Lori Singleton of Wymore; 23 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one chosen grandchild; 39 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild due in May 2026; sister-in-law, Donna Wilson; brother-in-law, Jim (Joan Budwin) Singleton; nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Singleton, who died on March 4, 2024; parents, Perry and Regina Lohse; parents-in-law, Phillip and Katherine Singleton; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Paul Singleton, Kathleen (Elvin) Reedy, Delmar Wilson, Carol Singleton, and Dennis (Oletha) Singleton.

 

Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. on Monday, November 17, 2025, at St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor Arden Dorn and Jon Palmquist officiating.  Burial will be at the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice.  A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 A.M. on Monday in the chapel at the church. The body will lie in state from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the Fox Funeral Home. The family will greet friends on Sunday from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
