BEATRICE – One person was taken to the local hospital from an accident involving three vehicles, just before noon, Tuesday.

Beatrice Police and Beatrice Fire and Rescue were sent to Sixth and Arthur, where a northbound pickup struck the rear of a sport utility vehicle.  That impact pushed the S-U-V into a car in front of it….that was stopped with a signal on…. turning left into a law office parking lot.

Beatrice Police Sergeant Brian Carver said a female driving the pickup…Deborah Wolken, of rural Filley….was taken to Beatrice Community Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Two other persons were checked over by E-M-S personnel at the scene but not transported for treatment.
