BEATRICE – Three southeast Nebraska defendants are headed to state prison in separate cases, after their post-release supervision or probation was revoked.

Gage County District Judge Rick Schreiner issued the sentences Wednesday. 36-year-old William H. Wilson, of Beatrice had his three-year probation term revoked and will now serve three years in state prison.

"I was astonished by the number of times you used drugs and the number of sanctions that you got, while you were on probation. It was just as though you completely ignored the term that says, don't use drugs."

Judge Schreiner said Wilson had several blatant violations and was making a mockery of probation. Wilson originally was convicted of criminal trespass, drug possession and theft.

In the case of 28-year-old Alexis Wieskamp, of Beatrice…the judge gave a sentence of two years in state prison after her post-release supervision was revoked. The judge said Wieskamp has wasted her life to this point, based on her criminal involvement since age 15.

"There are certain people that the judicial branch, law enforcement, other services deal with on a regular basis. You're one of those. The community gets tired of it....whether you're tired of it, or not."

Wieskamp was sentenced to a four-year prison term in May of 2023 for felony escape while under arrest. That sentence included two years of post-release supervision.

In a third case, 29-year-old Dana Culp, of Fairbury had her post-release supervision revoked Wednesday, and was ordered to serve one year in state prison by Judge Schreiner.

Culp was convicted of drug possession and sentenced in February of 2024 to a two-year prison term and a year of post-release supervision. The judge drew a parallel between Culp’s case and that of Wieskamp.

"I was in law enforcement for ten years before I went to law school. I came out and I was a prosecutor for nine years, which entailed being a coroner. I've seen young ladies both of your ages, deader than a doornail for no reason other then they couldn't put a bag of meth down."
