Exmark presents mowers, grant money to several organizations and cities

BEATRICE, Neb. - A large company in southeast Nebraska is taking the time to give back to their community.
Exmark Manufacturing in Beatrice presented Exmark Mowers and grants to a number of organizations in the region. Patty Kaufman is the Director of Finance for Exmark and says the company receives about 6-10 applicants each year.
"We get a lot of really good applications from non-profits, cities, businesses each year," Kaufman said. "We also get them from organizations from places like the Homestead and the hospital... We like to support where our employees live and work."
This years mower recipients were the City of Crete and the Village of Plymouth... Exmark also distributed two $25,000 grants, with one going to the City of Crete. Crete received the "Big Rock Grant" which will be used for improvements to the Library Park.
The other went to Stake Your Claim of Beatrice, as they were named the Greenspace Enhancement Recipient. Stake Your Claim has plans for a green space area in honor of those affected by cancer.
