The top of the caboose of a Farmers Cooperative train caught on fire on Thursday afternoon near Jansen, between Fairbury and Beatrice in Southeast Nebraska.
The fire started around 3 PM, and was extinguished within 15 minutes.
An official on scene told our reporter to not linger and to not take photos of any of the people involved in the tail end of the recovery efforts. But ultimately, he said no one was harmed and that the plan was for the train to run again as soon as possible.
