Fairbury’s FBLA raises funds to aid fight against Alzheimer’s
FAIRBURY, Neb. - The Fairbury chapter of Future Business Leaders of America raised $870 to contribute to the fight against Alzheimer’s disease this month.
The local group’s goal was to raise $250, but smashed that mark by enlisting 15 people to participate in a walk around the track at the Burkley Fitness Center at Fairbury’s Jefferson Community Health and Life, according to a press release from the Nebraska chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
Partnering with local businesses, Fairbury FBLA rewarded their top contributors with special incentives. Fairbury Public Schools’ Jerik Mans secured the top donor spot, helping contribute to the $870 final pool.
