PALMYRA, NE - Auburn and Palmyra split a Friday night doubleheader on the hardwood, as heard on Today's Best Country, B103. The opener went to the Palmyra ladies, 55-30, while the Auburn guys took the final game of the day, 74-32.

In the girls' contest, the Panthers spread the wealth to get a 55-30 win over the Bulldogs. Palmyra got ten points from Xylie Badertscher, nine from Grace Green, and eight from Kayley Thompson. Auburn saw Ava Krause score eleven & Addie Darnell drop in eight in the loss. The Auburn girls are just 1-10 on the season, while Palmyra is back to .500 at 5-5.

The boys' battle saw Auburn light it up from downtown to cruise to victory, 74-32. The Bulldogs hit 15 three-pointers, including a dozen of them before halftime. Nixon Ligouri scored 20 points - all in the first half. Cam Leslie chipped in with twelve, and Brenton Wenzl got to double-digits with ten. Harrison Boyte sunk 13 points to lead Palmyra. The Bulldog guys are now 7-2, while Palmyra sits at 2-8.

Next up for Auburn is a home doubleheader on Tuesday night against Lourdes Central Catholic on B103. Palmyra will take part in the MUDECAS Tournament that starts Monday in Beatrice.
