Omaha schools take A and B titles, at Beatrice Girls Invitational Golf

BEATRICE – Omaha Westside and Omaha Duchesne were the Class A and Class B winning teams in Monday’s Beatrice Girls Golf Invitational, at the Beatrice Country Club.

Westside shot a team total of 319, to finish 59 shots in front of runner-up, Columbus….in the six-team Class A field.

Lincoln Southwest, which had the top two individual finishers, came in third. Southwest teammates Eden Larson and Yve Nelson finished first and second individually, with rounds of 73 and 75.

In Class B, Omaha Duchesne finished in first with a 359 total, 15 shots in front of runner up, Gretna East.  Norris finished third, with a total of 391.  Eleven Class B teams competed.

Individually, Duchesne’s Whitney Dahir and Gretna East’s Hadley Babe tied for low score, each with an 85.

The host Beatrice Lady Orange finished eighth in the class B standings….led by Aubrie Simmons score of 102 and Bryleigh McKerman’s 113.
