BEATRICE – Beatrice Police arrested a male Sunday after responding to a domestic incident in the 600-block of North 8th Street.

Police spoke to two alleged victims and a male about an incident that apparently arose from a relationship dispute.  Police had been to the scene earlier as a result of a domestic disturbance.

Police said there was a physical confrontation between a male and a female in the presence of a minor child.

A woman reported being slapped, tackled and choked.  She sustained a chipped tooth.  Police said she also had visible bruises on her arms.

Police arrested 30-year-old Dustin Shinn on suspicion of assault by strangulation, 3rd-degree domestic assault and child abuse.

The woman, who had injuries to her hands and an elbow, was taken to Beatrice Community Hospital for treatment.
