Sunday morning accident in Lincoln leaves one critically injured
A 55-year-old man is in critical condition after a car crash that happened Sunday morning.

LINCOLN, Neb. -- A 55-year-old man is in critical condition after a car crash that happened Sunday morning.
The Lincoln Police Department said that there was an accident between a Volkswagen Beetle and a semi-truck, around 8:15 a.m. at S 91st St. and Nebraska Parkway.
The Beetle was driven by a 55-year-old man and the semi was driven by a 45-year-old man, according to authorities.
LPD said the semi driver told officers he was driving south on 91st St. in the left turning lane to turn onto Nebraska Parkway. He reportedly said that the beetle was heading north on 91st St.
Officials said that was when the semi and Beetle collided in the intersection.
The 55-year-old man was taken by ambulance to the hospital in critical condition with serious injuries.
LPD said there have been no citations issued at this time. They also reported that drugs and alcohol were not suspected.
