Beatrice Police arrest pair on drug, weapon counts
BEATRICE – Beatrice Police investigating a dispute where a woman allegedly was refusing to leave a man’s residence, arrested both persons on drug or firearms charges.
Officers were sent to a residence Tuesday afternoon to investigate a dispute between the pair. While there, officers observed two micro-baggies with white crystal residue on a table, within plain view.
Police were given consent to search the home. They found a third micro-baggie on the floor near the table, two glass smoking devices, several devices used to smoke marijuana, two scales, marijuana wax…eight additional micro-baggies with residue…and a nine-millimeter handgun in a case with two loaded magazines.
Police arrested 64-year-old Richard Weyer on suspicion of methamphetamine possession, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Authorities also arrested 29-year-old Tiffany Morris on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine.
