Supreme Court win lets DHHS employees wear jeans
The Nebraska Supreme Court released a decision Friday that allows for casual days in the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.

NEBRASKA - The Nebraska Supreme Court released a decision Friday that allows for casual days in the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.
The court upheld a lower court ruling by an arbitrator.
It's the culmination of a case that started in 2019, when Nebraska's DHHS changed their dress code banning blue jeans.
Members of the Nebraska Association of public employees filed a grievance, alleging their contract was violated without proper notice. An arbitrator agreed, nixing the DHHS' decision.
The Department then sued in Lancaster County District Court in 2020 to overturn that decision, but both the District and Supreme Courts have now sided with state employees.
