Lincoln man arrested for drugs and guns
A Lincoln man was arrested after drugs and guns were reportedly found in his home.
LINCOLN, Neb. -- A Lincoln man was arrested after drugs and guns were reportedly found in his home.
The Lincoln Police Department said their Gang Unit was watching an apartment in the 4600 block of Bancroft on Tuesday around 5:00 p.m. They reportedly had a signed search warrant for the apartment.
Officials said 25-year-old Kendrick Buford was the resident of the apartment and was seen leaving in his vehicle. They did a traffic stop on Buford near 24th and A St. and detained him while they searched his apartment.
According to authorities, they found 11.8 oz. of marijuana along with paraphernalia that they believed was going to be sold, a Springfield XD .40 cal handgun, and a Palmetto Arms AR style rifle. The Springfield XD was reportedly stolen in a Lincoln burglary back in August 2021.
LPD said Buford was lodged in jail for manufacture distribute controlled substance within 1,000 ft. of a school - Calvert Elementary is less than a block away, possession of a firearm with felony 1B/1C drug violation, and possession of a stolen firearm.
