BEATRICE – A Gage County jail inmate is now being held on additional charges following a disturbance at the jail.

Gage County law officers say 45-year-old Timothy Sutter was being moved from one cell to another when he began to argue and refused to follow instructions of corrections officers.

He eventually was moved into the cell without incident.  But authorities say shortly after, Sutter allegedly spat on an officer’s face and right arm. Sutter now faces an allegation of assault with bodily fluid against a public safety officer.

The incident happened at around one p.m. Friday.  Sutter was booked into the jail April 30th, for drug possession.
