LINCOLN, Neb. -- Officers responded to a domestic disturbance call Sunday evening.

The Lincoln Police Department said that officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 3000 block of Vine Street.

Authorities said that area residents reported witnessing a male assaulting a female in the front yard of their residence.

Officials said that the resident was identified as 22-year-old Thomas Doran.

LPD said that it was reported that Doran fled back to his residence and was allegedly observed loading a rifle and pointing it out the window at the gathering group.

Authorities said that Doran eventually exited the residence and surrendered to the police.

Doran was lodged in jail for domestic assault, terroristic threats, false imprisonment and use of a weapon to commit a felony.

LPD said that later with the service of a search warrant, they were able to locate the rifle in the residence.
