OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - An 18-year-old was arrested and appeared in court this week.

Oshea Di’Paul Parker was charged Thursday for possessing a short shotgun and unlawful possession of a firearm on school grounds.

Parker’s bond was set at $5,000 and he has a preliminary hearing is on Tuesday, March 15th.

He reported to Bellevue Police on Tuesday that his car was stolen from his home. He called back later to admit that his car had not been stolen and he traded it for two guns, a handgun and a short shotgun.

Police talked to him while he was at Bellevue University and they took the weapons and booked him.

Parker told police he became suspicious of the transaction because the person he dealt with had deleted their online account and the handgun turned out to be a BB gun.

He was also booked for false reporting and carrying a concealed weapon.
