Eight people seriously injured in Nemaha County, KS crash
A two-vehicle crash on Friday in northeastern Kansas injured nine, eight suspected to have suffered serious injuries.

NEMAHA COUNTY, Kan. - A two-vehicle crash on Friday in northeastern Kansas injured nine, eight suspected to have suffered serious injuries.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 4:09 p.m. Friday, on U36 Highway, a mile east of K236.
KHP says a westbound Ford F-150 pickup drifted left off the center line. The pickup collided head on with an eastbound Ford Econoline, carrying 11 individuals.
The driver of the pickup, 71-year-old Timothy Wanklyn, was taken to Nemaha Valley Community Hospital with suspected serious injuries. A 25-year-old passenger was also taken to the hospital was suspected serious injuries. Both were wearing safety restraints.
Of the 11 inside the Econoline, five were taken to the hospital with suspected serious injuries, including the driver, 28-year-old Gilver Caceres, of Topeka, KS.
Four other individuals inside the Econoline left the scene of the crash... Injury and safety restraint status are unknown.
