Beatrice splits double-header with Wahoo

The Lady Orange and Orangemen saw split results on Saturday afternoon in a double-header with the Wahoo Warriors.

WAHOO, Neb. - The Lady Orange and Orangemen saw split results on Saturday afternoon in a double-header with the Wahoo Warriors.


The Lady Orange survived a late charge from the Warriors to survive 38-35. Beatrice avenged a 36-33 loss to the Warriors in the Trailblazer Conference tournament semifinal. Beatirce improves to 14-5 with the win.


Meanwhile, the Orangemen fell to No. 4 Wahoo 51-47. The Orangemen led by nine heading to the fourth, but would turn the ball over eight times which led tot a 17-0 Warriors scoring run.


Beatrice was led in scoring by Harrison Vetrovsky with 18, while Cody Hesser led all scorers with 25. Beatrice falls to 9-9 with the loss.
