LINCOLN, Neb. - 19 seniors will put on the pads at Memorial Stadium one final time when the Huskers take on Iowa on Black Friday.

While players are ready for an emotional pregame, the Huskers are trying to turn that emotion into their play on the field.

Linebacker Javin Wright will go through his third senior day this Friday.

"I've been through this three times so I'm a little less emotional and more focused on the game then most because I thought it was the end every single year," Wright said. "It's still going to be emotional, but focusing on the game is the most important thing right now."

For players like tight end Heinirch Haarberg and Ceyair Wright, who will go through their first senior day, they face the balance of balancing emotions and focusing on ending their career with a win.

"It's a new experience for me," Wright said. "It's definable something I'll have to do, control your emotions, and not get too emotional or too sad, but stay in the moment and enjoy the game."

"Just have to try and stay focused on the job ahead," Haarberg said. "Can't get too caught up, but also enjoy it."

Nebraska and Iowa kick off at 11:00 a.m. CT on CBS.
