3rd Annual Gering Summer Bash set for Saturday

The third annual Gering Summer Bash, organized by the Gering Merchants Association, is Saturday, June 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Gering Civic Plaza.

GERING, Neb. - The third annual Gering Summer Bash, organized by the Gering Merchants Association, is Saturday, June 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Gering Civic Plaza, located at 1450 11th St. in Gering.

Admission is free.

This family-friendly event, which has attracted nearly 2,000 people each of the last two years, includes a number of fun kids’ games, big inflatables, a large Kool-Aid stand, a coloring contest, face painting by the Gering cheer team, an animal education booth by Riverside Discovery Center, giveaways, prizes, a pie eating contest and interactions with members of the Gering police and fire departments. 

In addition, there will be live entertainment on stage, including two magic shows by Keith West and the Illusioneers. The first magic show will start at about 10:30 a.m., and the second one will start at about 12:30 p.m. Keith West has been entertaining audiences around the world for decades, and he’s performed with many other top magicians. There will be other entertainers taking the stage between 10 and 2 as well.

Food trucks will also be on site, and lots of Gering Merchants bucks will be handed out.
