BEATRICE, Neb. - Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl Champion and Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens is getting a special honor from his alma mater.

The Pickrell, NE. native and Beatrice High School alum, will have the field at the House of Orange dedicated in his honor on Friday, June 21, as part of Beatrice's Homestead Days fireworks night celebration. The venue will be known as Cam Jurgens Field at the House Of Orange.

Doors open at 8:00 p.m. and the event will take place at the House Of Orange football stadium. The evening includes autograph giveaways, a question-and-answer session, and fireworks.

Jurgens, a star football player and track standout who played tight end, fullback, linebacker and punter for the Orangemen, went on to play center at the University of Nebraska and was named as an All-Big Ten performer.

Jurgens was drafted in 2022 with the 51st pick by the Philadelphia Eagles. The fourth-year center earned Pro-Bowl honors this past season playing for the Super Bowl Champion Eagles.

In case of rain, the ceremony will be held indoors at the Beatrice High School O-Zone.
