BEATRICE – The entrance to a highly utilized public park in southeast Nebraska is getting an upgrade.

The entrance road to Hannibal park in east Beatrice is being milled and resurfaced.  City officials say that means the park entrance will be closed for about three days this week.

Constructors Inc. is resurfacing the entrance and exit lanes to the park, which in recent years has benefited from significant private support in the way of sponsorships and naming rights. That is allowing improvements to be made through public-private partnerships.
