FAIRBURY - The city of Fairbury's annual citywide cleanup week is set for the week of April 21, and citizens have one month left to ensure their residences are registered to participate in the large item removal process.

This year's citywide cleanup week has been set for April 21-23. To ensure their residence is included in the list for one of those three days, local citizens must either call the transfer station (402-729-4078) or register online prior to 4:00 p.m. on April 17.

In addition, the city's "free dump days" initiative has been set for the following week, April 28-May 2. This program provides both business and residential customers of the Fairbury Sanitation Department with one ton of free trash dumping over the course of that week.

Read on for complete information about both of these events from the city's formal releases from earlier this month.
