BEATRICE  – The Beatrice Police Department wants to start a Beatrice Community Watch group and is inviting all local residents to be a part of the initiative. It is a first step toward creating a safer, more connected community and starts with citizens being involved in the process.

A kickoff meeting is planned Tuesday, April 8th at 6:00 p.m. at the large conference room at the Beatrice Public School Administration Building, 320 N. 5th Street.

It will include an opportunity for community members to come together and learn more about the Community Watch program, share ideas, and collaborate on ways to enhance the safety and well-being of neighborhoods.

It also aims to foster a spirit of cooperation between local law enforcement and residents, to help reduce crime, promote safety, and ensure that Beatrice remains a secure and caring place to live and work.
