Approximately four inches falls in Beatrice as of early afternoon Wednesday

BEATRICE, Neb. - Snow fall totals from southeast Nebraska are beginning to trickle in, as a mid-February storm begins to taper off.
About 4.16" of snow was measured at the KWBE studios in west Beatrice shortly before 1:00 p.m. Wednesday. Road conditions were improving as crews began clearing streets within Beatrice's city limits early Wednesday morning.
The National Weather Service reported 6.1" of snow near Burchard, NE., about 20 miles east of Beatrice in Pawnee County.
Additional on and off snowfall remains possible into the early evening hours, before the weather gives way to bitterly cold temperatures overnight Wednesday into early Thursday morning.
The region is in a cold weather advisory until 9:00 a.m. Thursday, as temperatures in southeast Nebraska are expected to be anywhere from five to ten degrees below zero, with isolated wind chills as low 25 to 30 degrees below zero.
