BEATRICE – Law officers executing a search warrant on a Beatrice home in the 1200 block of North 7th this week, arrested two people on suspicion of drug violations.

The warrant was served by Gage County Sheriff’s Officers and Beatrice Police at around seven a.m., Tuesday.  Officers encountered a male and female in the home…and recovered meth pipes that pre-tested positive for methamphetamine. 

Also found was a sword with a 36-inch blade, several pills identified as Clonazepam and Oxycodone Hydrochloride...along with a small amount of marijuana.  Found in the garage of the home…an estimated 500 to 1,000 new unused small zip-lock baggies, which officers said are commonly used for packaging controlled substances. 

Deputies also found $12,000 in cash concealed within a vehicle parked in the garage.

Authorities arrested James Eloge on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug money and possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.

Also arrested was Catherine Hempfling, for possession of a controlled substance, possession of less than ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
