BEATRICE – It’s been a busy past few days for Beatrice Police, making several arrests.

Officers were called to a Hill Street residence Sunday evening, on a reported protection order violation.  A man who was ordered to stay away from a residence there, was found in the kitchen of the home, being held down by one of three people who were present. He allegedly had pepper sprayed one of the persons who was there.

After being taken for medical treatment, police arrested 46-year-old Roger Caudill for second-degree assault, burglary, a protection order violation and possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person…..which police said was a pocket knife.  The person who was pepper sprayed was also taken for medical treatment.

Early Sunday morning, police arrested 26-year-old Kenneth Gritten, of Beatrice, for an alleged domestic abuse protection order violation….after being dispatched to a local motel. Police said he was with a person who had a protection order against him.

Saturday night, police observed a man walking in the 700-block of Court Street, who Gage County deputies were seeking for outstanding felony warrants.   Police officers detained 32-year-old Cody A. Williams…a transient.  At the time, he had possession of a drawstring bag police said contained suspected methamphetamine. Williams was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver.

Friday night, officers finishing a traffic stop at 5th and Bell Streets, noticed a black GMC sport utility vehicle drive past with no license plates or intransit stickers.  Police stopped the vehicle in a convenience store parking lot, and a subsequent search recovered a small baggie with suspected methamphetamine and a glass pipe.  Police arrested 47-year-old John Schriner of Omaha, for alleged drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and an open alcohol container.

Friday afternoon…police went to a Court Street location on a trespassing report.  Police arrested 52-year-old Michael Fossler on suspicion of second-degree trespassing and obstructing police.
