FAIRBURY, Neb. -- The Fairbury Country Club is working on a new pump building for its pool.

Not only was the other equipment old, but it was struck by lightning back in the summer.

Country Club staff said the lightning strike messed up some of the electricity, including frying the control panel.

This construction comes just a few years after the play-set was built right next to the pool.

The pump building is in its early stages of construction with the foundation already built. The country club will wait for state engineers before it can open the pool back up.

The country club does not know when the pool, for members of the country club only, will be open next.
