BEATRICE – The City of Beatrice will be holding an open house in March, on one of this year’s major street projects.

The city has contracted with R.L. Tiemann Construction for a concrete reconstruction project on South 13th Street, between Beaver and Oak Streets near the Beatrice Country Club.

Construction is slated to begin in April.  Existing pavement will be removed and replaced with eight-inch depth concrete and curbs.  The work will be done in phases to allow for access to residential areas that have only one way in…and one way out. The entire project has a 100-day contract period.

The City of Beatrice will be conducting an open house meeting on the project where residents can learn how it may affect access to their properties.

The open house is scheduled for March 7th…..from four to six p.m., at the Beatrice Country club…..1301 Oak Street.
