MARYSVILLE, Kansas. -- The Lee Dam Center for Fine Art is putting together an exhibition to bring in artists who use fabric or other artistic media.

The event is aimed at helping those in the community who might not be able to put their art in galleries get exposure.

Anybody can bring anything or however many things they want to the gallery.

The exhibit runs from Sunday, Jan. 7 and runs through Sunday, Jan. 28.

Along with the exhibits, anybody can come in and see the art, along with being able to purchase anything for sale.

“So the January exhibition at the Lee Dam Center for Fine Arts is fiber arts and crafts,” said Wayne Kruse, President of the Marshall County Arts Cooperative. “We are doing an all call to the community to say, ‘Hey, if you work with fiber, if you work with wood, if you craft, bring your stuff here’. Exhibit it. If you have stuff for sale, we are willing to sell it for you as well.”

The art center is open Sunday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
