LINCOLN, Neb. - Nebraska is the new number one in the college volleyball rankings, but head coach John Cook says the Huskers are locking in on this weekend, not looking back on their win over Wisconsin.

Nebraska plays host to Maryland on Friday and Rutgers on Saturday, looking to keep their perfect record in tact. While not looking back on the Badgers, and looking ahead to this weekend, John Cook says he's learned a lot about his team.

"Every game comes down right to the very end, no matter how much time is left," Cook said. "That's what I'm learning about this team."

Maryland comes in with a record of 14-8 having lost four of the last five. Meanwhile, the Scarlet Knights enter at 9-11. As the Huskers come down off the hype of last weekend, John Cook wants the same energy from Husker nation throughout the rest of the season.

"Let me put the message out right now, we have five matches left, that energized," Cook said. "And we want that student section that energized, throw that out there now."

The Huskers did pick up a few weekly honors throughout the week, as Merritt Beason was named Big Ten Player of the Week for the third time. Beason was also named the AVCA/GameChanger National Player of the Week. Freshman Bergen Reilly was named Big Ten Setter of the Week.
