BEATRICE – Gage County law officers have made arrests in alleged connection with two recent burglaries in the southern part of the county and for drug violations.

Monday morning at around 5:30, deputies served a search warrant on a rural property in a wooded area….along East Olive Road between South 59th and South 66th Roads.

During the search, deputies located 44-year-old Paul Pond and 39-year-old Amber Pond, both of Blue Springs, inside one of their campers located on the property.

Deputies say they found items that were stolen in two recent burglaries in Blue Springs and Wymore.  Also found during the search…..about four grams of suspected  methamphetamine….six ounces of marijuana….108 unused plastic baggies, bags with residue, digital scales and a large amount of pipes and bongs.

Paul and Amber Pond were arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property, five counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and nine counts of possession of a legend drug.
