BEATRICE, Neb. -- Gage County law officers have released the names of the drivers involved in the injury accident at an unmarked gravel intersection in western Gage County, Monday morning.

The collision happened at the intersection of Southwest 131st Road and West Lilac Road and involved a semitrailer truck hauling several little pigs and a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The truck pulling a stock trailer was driven by Roger Pliefke, of Steele City, Nebraska. The Jeep was driven by Justin Hill of Hollenberg, Kansas.

Authorities say the northbound semitrailer truck had almost made it through the intersection when the eastbound Jeep struck the trailer of the truck.

Hill was taken to Beatrice Community Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.  None of the pigs on board the trailer were injured.  Beatrice Rural Fire and Beatrice Fire and Rescue both responded to the scene of the accident.

The intersection has no stop or yield signs.  The southwest corner of the intersection had trees and standing corn.
