BEATRICE - Kansas Highway Patrol officers investigated an accident Tuesday where a sport utility vehicle struck a tractor that was mowing along a highway for the Kansas Department of Transportation.

The accident occurred at around 8:10 a.m. in Washington County on Kansas Highway 148…north of Hanover. 

The KHP says a 2020 Kia Telluride driven by 30-year-old Jenna Tormondson, of Hanover was traveling north on Highway 148 when it struck the front driver’s side of a 2011 New Holland T5070 Tractor that was mowing northbound, in the east ditch.   The tractor was operated by 37-year-old Scott Braddy, of Clay Center.  

Braddy was not hurt in the collision.  The S-U-V driver, Tormondson, had a minor injury….and was taken to the Hanover hospital.
