Police investigating threats made to a family, arrest female suspect late Wednesday night

BEATRICE – Beatrice Police investigating threats allegedly being made, arrested a 34-year-old female late Wednesday night. 

A person came to police headquarters to report that a woman was text messaging threats against his family.   Police reviewed the messages.   Southeast Communications later informed officers that the female suspected of the threats was at an apartment complex on Eighth Street, threatening to burn the complex and break out windows. 

An arriving police officer detained a female after she was not cooperating with police.  The woman was standing outside an apartment occupied by persons who were being threatened.  The woman allegedly made threats to light the property on fire and kill persons.

Police arrested Jessica Lukehart on suspicion of making terroristic threats.  She was taken to the Gage County Jail.
