BEATRICE – A semitrailer truck driver from Nebraska was injured in a crash Tuesday east of Blue Rapids, Kansas….in Marshall County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reports an eastbound semitrailer truck driven by 60-year-old Robert Bernt, of Phillips, Nebraska, drove onto the shoulder of Kansas Highway 9 while traveling a curve, and lost control.  

The truck overturned onto the passenger side, coming to rest in the south ditch, but partly in the roadway.

Bernt was taken to Community Memorial Hospital in Marysville, for treatment of suspected minor injuries.  The KHP says the driver was using a safety restraint at the time of the crash. 

The accident time was 2:20 p.m.
