BEATRICE – Beatrice Police responding to a woman being treated at the Beatrice Community Hospital for injuries, have arrested the victim’s boyfriend.

Authorities were contacted Tuesday about a woman being treated for a possible fractured nose and ribs. The woman told police she was walking along West Scott Street near the Gage County Fairgrounds with her boyfriend in the early morning hours, when the man became aggressive with her…and punched her several times in the nose, mouth and sides of her head.

When she fell to the ground, police were told, she was kicked in the ribs.  The woman told authorities she was dazed from the attack, and could not fully remember the incident.

She next remembered being at home, with her attacker. Police said the woman’s visible injuries were consistent with her report of the incident.

Beatrice Police contacted 19-year-old Austin Rhoden, and arrested him on suspicion of 3rd degree domestic assault.
