Doane Women's Basketball player Mak Hatcliff has been named the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Player of the Week after her performance during the week of December 26-January 1. This marks the second time during the 2022-23 season that Hatcliff has received the honor.

In Doane's 81-77 win over Bellevue, Hatcliff posted 20 points and 11 rebounds. During the course of the game, she scored her 1,000th career point to make her the fastest Tiger to reach the milestone in Doane men's or women's basketball history. She accomplished the feat in 43 games.

Doane rallied for a second straight day in the second day of the Bellevue Classic as the Tigers defeated Mayville State (N.D.), 85-83. Hatcliff posted 33 points, nine rebounds, and five assists for the Tigers in the game.

For the week, she averaged 26.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game. From the floor, Hatcliff shot 51.4-percent (18-of-35) and she converted on 94.4-percent of her free throw attempts (17-of-18).

Doane returns to action with a pair of road games this week, taking on Midland on January 4 and Briar Cliff on January 7.
