FAIRBURY, NE — Another Fairbury volleyball player is continuing her volleyball career into the college level.

Allison Davis committed to play volleyball at the University of Nebraska-Kearney last week. The Fairbury senior joins Emily Huss, who committed to the University of Nebraska-Omaha last month, as volleyball players to take the step to collegiate athletics.

Davis ended her Jeffs career as the schools record holder for single season and career service attempts and career record holder for service aces with 153.

She also racked up over 400 kills in her career, including 255 this past season. That single-season mark was second most on the team behind Huss.

Although Fairbury came up short of the state tournament in Davis's time at the school, the Jeffs did make back-to-back district finals in her junior and senior seasons.
