Stolen trailer found with unknown lumber in Lincoln
The Lincoln Police Department found a stolen trailer that was filled with lumber on Saturday.
LINCOLN, Neb. -- The Lincoln Police Department found a stolen trailer that was filled with lumber on Saturday.
LPD said officers were dispatched to the area of 30th St. and Q St. on Dec. 17 at 7:00 a.m. for a call of suspicious activity. The caller reportedly told officials that they saw an unknown man trying to cover a trailer full of lumber with a tarp.
Officers said the unknown man reportedly left the area before they arrived. The trailer was reportedly stolen from the 100 block of N St. They found a large amount of plywood and other lumber inside the trailer. The owner of the lumber is unknown right now.
According to authorities, they found another trailer four houses away that also had lumber inside but there were boxes, tools, and other misc. construction items along with it. There was no identifying information about the trailer and it was towed and inventoried for blocking the street.
